Growing up I was drawing or painting from the time I could hold a pencil or brush. The subject was dinosaurs! But that soon branched into anything that caught my attention. After high school it was an illustration school and then college for advertising design. But something didn’t quite resonate, the art I practiced didn’t seem to match the rest of my lifestyle, which was the outdoors, athletics, and adventure. So off to the 75th Ranger Regiment I went to sew some wild oats. After those amazing years it was Air Traffic Control to support my new family. Art was still calling though, and I always looked for opportunities to scratch that itch. Finally I discovered carving, first with rotary tools and then with chainsaw. Something clicked and I fell into a niche that was shaped just right.
